Eyre Park
This is Albany’s biggest and best public playground. Complete with big slides, great swings, flying fox, enclosed sandpits with digging tools, basketball courts, ladders and castles and all things that spin and make you dizzy! The park is equipped with BBQ facilities as well. There is also a swing for the disabled called the Liberty Swing for all age groups – for a key to this swing, call into the City of Albany office on North Rd, and the girls at the front desk will give you a key. Emu Point Playground
Climb, balance, swing and spin on the amazing playground equipment, then play on the floating pontoon swimming area, suitable for all ages. The pontoon has ramp entrances for easy access with a swim lane rope for those not so confident swimmers. BBQ facilities are also close by for a family picnic.
Binalup/ Middleton Beach Playground
There are two playgrounds along Binalup/ Middleton Beach with various swings, slides (and a pirate ship) for different age groups. BBQ’s are also available, and out from the jetty at Ellen Cove, there is a floating pontoon which is a very popular gathering place for swimmers.

Albany’s Historic Whaling Station
Fun for the whole family with a whale themed kid’s playground with a nifty slide right out of a whale’s mouth and fantastic swings. Also, the tour of the complex features three multimedia exhibits complete with whale skeletons. There is an original whale chaser ship that you can explore inside and out. A fantastic Australian Wildlife Park and gorgeous Botanic Garden will complete a fun-filled day out for the whole family. Located on Old Whaling Station Road, Frenchman’s Bay. Phone 9844 4021
Laserscape
It is one of the trendiest and most hi-tech ways to have fun in Albany. You get to let loose in a large outdoor location, with unlimited free ammunition and NO PAIN!
Albany Bike Hire
Will drop off and pick up at any accommodation in the city area, including the Visitors Centre. Bikes for all ages and sizes.
Golf for Kids
Grove Park Golf Links is a great golf course for kids to get out and try their skills. Children’s golf clubs are available for hire for a great fun family day out. The course is also renowned for its huge family of resident kangaroos that have learned to dodge most balls.

offers a nine-hole miniature golf course (closed to the public during peak holiday season being Dec – Jan, Easter and public long weekends)
Brig Amity
It is a great historical place for families to visit and fun for kids to play on a real sailing ship without getting wet. Pretend you’re a pirate, sailor or captain, wherever your imagination takes you. See the storage compartment at the very bottom of the boat, the eating area and the bunks where they all slept.

Museum of The Great Southern
The place to find out all about Albany, this museum offers some fantastic exhibitions all year round which change every school holiday. Variety of other activates provided throughout the year as well!
Model Railway
An excellent miniature railway is set up just like a bit of town, with every detail you could imagine. Open each Saturday 1:30-4pm and Wednesdays 1.30-4pm in school holidays.

Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre
Heaps of fun. Has two heated swimming pools, a little kids paddle pool with a beach entrance, a whirlpool and various sporting courts (basketball, volleyball, badminton and tennis). A fantastic water slide has the thumbs up with all the kids. There is a great wall climb for the more adventurous who love a challenge and don’t mind heights—Crèche is available so mum and dad can have a swim or use the great gym.
Sanford Rd Sk8 and BMX Park
Albany’s biggest and newest skate park caters to all ages and all abilities. Suitable for skateboarders and bike riders alike, this park has a vast array of 4-5 foot high street courses alongside a tight configuration of bowls, spine, quarter pipes, hips or rails for the more experienced riders. Under lights until 9 pm every night.
The Snake Run
Albany’s original long downhill skate park is reputedly the oldest in the world still in use. It is a fast run with vert walls and hip. This park is more suitable for intermediate and advanced skaters.

PCYC
For all types of entertainment for all ages, PCYC is worth a look. Kids can call in any time and use the pool tables etc., in the “drop-in centre”, and every Friday night is STRIKE catering for the young teenagers with all sorts of indoor games (basketball etc.). Other fantastic activities available are learning air rifles, archery, gymnastics, police rangers, discos, boxing, aikido, jujitsu, badminton and various fun activities over the school holidays. At the rear of the building is the Albany Toy Library, where toys can be hired on a daily/weekly basis.

Princess Royal Fortress
Home of the new National Anzac Centre, this is a must-do for everyone visiting Albany. A great place for kids to run around on these amazing grounds with lots of hands-on excitement for the kids. Whether exploring the underground bunkers, swinging off the giant cannons and naval guns or examining the giant torpedoes, this fortress has something for everyone with some of the best views in town. BBQ facilities are available to the public free of charge.
Canoe Hire
To explore the King River, call into the Happy Days Caravan Park. We also have other canoe hires available if you want to get out and see other areas of the Albany waterways.
